Happy Easter!

We had a really great Easter! This year we had the opportunity to host it in our new home which was so fun! Usually all of the holiday festivities are held at my Mom & Dads house and all the kids come home for each holiday to celebrate. However this year my parents were having some work done on their home so we had Easter dinner here! In our last home hosting a holiday was not even an option becuase it was such a tiny place, so it sure was fun to see how well it worked out with all our new space!

This post is primarily tons and tons of photos from our day, and of course mostly of Lola. :) Enjoy!

When I was deciding how to decorate the table I came across these adorable sheep and decided it looked like a fun (and super easy!) project for Lola and I, we had a great time!

A Happy Mothers Day for ME! : )

Wow! I cant believe this is already my third Mothers Day! Its hard to remember life before Lola anymore! I don't think I stop and realize how much I LOVE being a mom often enough! A few weeks ago a good friend of mine called to tell me that she is pregnant! I never expected this friend and her hubby (who as far as I knew had been sitting on the fence when it came to having children) to have a baby so to say I was shocked might be an understatement! I was so excited for them I might have scared her! Haha! As a Mom I just immediately started getting excited for all that I knew they are in for... the ultrasounds, finding out gender, feeling the baby kick, and those first moments of being new parents! It made William and I sit and reminisce about what we love about being parents... its a journey like no other, and as far as I am concerned its the best one! (Congrats "B"! Couldn't possibly be more excited for you two!!)

Watching Lola grow up has been so fun! I really cant believe how big she is! In the last six weeks we have tackled some very "big girl" things (potty training & a big girl bed) and I definitely am forced to realize shes not a baby anymore! She is the most fun, outgoing, hilarious, loving, giggly, passionate, strong willed, beautiful, and smart little girl. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to be a stay at home Mom and soak in all the special moments of her growing up and then share them with William each night. She makes us laugh out loud daily and brings such unbelievable joy into our lives! :) I love you Lola!

I am super excited for this next year! Since our baby boy Logan (who is kicking away like crazy as I am typing this!) :) will be born in August, I know this year as a Mom will be so different for me! I am excited and nervous, but mostly I am so thankful to the Lord for blessing me with such a wonderful family!

Happy Mothers Day to my Mom!

Tomorrow is Mothers Day and this is always a fun day because I have the best Mom! She also happends to be one of my best friends! I remember vividly while I was pregnant with Lola that when I would share with people that we were expecting a girl, and THRILLED to be having a girl at that, some peoples responses struck me quite oddly... I heard things like "yikes, watch out for those teenage years!" or "relationships with daughters can be tricky" or "boys are so much easier to raise...." Despite what people said their was just no dampening my joy of having a daughter! I didn't even listen to what people said about the what the typical difficult mother daughter relationship is like because I had my own first hand and very different experience of this relationship to base my excitement from! My Mom hasn't just become my best friend as I have grown older, she has always been one of my best friends! Whether coaching my high school cheerleading squad and staying up all night choreographing dance routines in her bedroom together, or planning my entire wedding together, we really enjoy everything we do! The first person I call when I have exciting news to share, need advice, feel happy, sad, worried or sick is my Mom. We talk everyday on the phone at least 5 times, (really!) the first time usually being at least an hour. : )

I am so thankful this Mothers Day for my Mom, she truly is an amazing woman and I am SO glad she is my Mom! I am very blessed to have such a great and special mother daughter relationship to model Lola and my relationship after! Lola and I are very close and I believe we will always be that way thanks to the way I was raised.

I also have some exciting news to share! : ) Our newest little addition to the family (due in August) has been named! I have announced on Facebook that his name will be Logan! What I haven't announced is that his middle name will be Lee, named after my Mom! :)
